One Week to go.....

Been using my horse packing skills to make sure my two pieces of checked baggage for supplies meets the airline requirements. So far so good. When I was packing and distributing weight, I found a third pair of nippers in the bottom of the box from GE Forge! Thank you GE Forge for your generous donation :>)

Still need a couple pair of hoof knives (For frog and bar trimming. No sole carving allowed:>) And about half dozen rasps, and the Equine Hoof Care Team will be well equipped for our mission.

Ingredients for "Ramey Goo" are available on the island (Athletes Foot Cream - 1% Clotrimazole, and Triple Antibiotic Ointment); as is Lysol Concentrate. These products can be used to help treat fungal/bacterial infections in the hoof.

My host, Marina Ocampo, has been a wonderful contact on the island to help in coordinating this effort.

She owns Utila Jungle Eco Lodge where I'll be renting an eco friendly cottage for the duration of my visit to the island of Utila.
